adapts and retells traditional folklore drawn from her childhood life overseas. With her multinational heritage, she explores
destinations worldwide through stories filled her unique brand of fun audience participation. Kids and grown-ups alike will sing,
chant, dance, create sound effects, clap, and move. Through the use of character voices, animated facial expressions and gestures,

School Residencies (Gr. K-8)
Story Fest - Through Dianne's innovative story theater scripts,
creative movement, drama and colorful scarves, students explore storytelling and create performance masterpieces. Story Fest
is a title with Teacher Ideas Press (November 2005).
Kamishibai Story Theater - Kamishibai is the Japanese art of picture
telling. In this residency, Dianne instructs students on telling stories with self-illustrated Kamishibai cards. Culminates
in student performances. Kamishibai Story Theater is a forthcoming title with Teacher Ideas Press.
The Write Stuff - Storytelling techniques are used to explore creative
writing and discover the writer within.
Aesop's Fable Fest - Using Dianne's adaptations of Aesop's
Fables, students explore character education and perform group work. Culminates in student performances.
Custom-Tailor - Dianne can customize a residency to fulfill your
curriculum needs. Residencies appropriate for Grades 2-8. |

Educational and Family Programs
PTA - Bring Dianne to your PTA event and spice up a meeting
with a storytelling mini workshop, teaching parents to share stories with their kids.
Teacher In-Service - Dianne can add an element of fun to a
teacher in-service day with a mini workshop that encourages teachers to use storytelling to further their educational
objectives in the classroom.
Family Literacy - When your school hosts a family literacy
program, invite Dianne for a literature-based program.
